Charles Barkley Gives Blunt Message To The Lakers After Game 3

Charles Barkley had some interesting things to say about the Los Angeles Lakers after their Game 3 loss to the Miami Heat. The Lakers were looking very good going into the game 3 vs the Heat. Sadly, looking good is not enough to win a title. Still, they should have enough fuel left in the tank to take 2 more games. LeBron can’t let them lose 2 more games, right?

LeBron has been very focused in this year playoffs. In fact, the entire Lakers organization has been even more focused than usual this year. It is not due to the COVID situation and the bubble. Instead, it is due to the fact that they are missing their kind Kobe Bryant. He died earlier this year in a helicopter crash.

LeBron talked about a regret that he had about Kobe recently.

“Of course, you think there’s going to be time for us to get together and I understand that there are regrets in life, but I definitely wish I had that moment with him,” James told Yahoo Sports. “I do remember when I decided to come here, he sent me a text right away and said, ‘Welcome, brother. Welcome to the family.’ That was a special moment because at the time, Laker faithful wasn’t [fully in on me]. A lot of people were saying, ‘Well, we might not want LeBron at this point in his career,’ and, ‘Is he right? Is he going to get us back [to the Finals]?’ So to hear from him and get his stamp of approval, it meant a lot. I don’t ever question myself, but when it’s coming from Kobe, it definitely meant a lot.”

But after the Game 3 loss to the Heat, some people had some blunt messages for the Lakers. One of those people was Charles Barkley. He talked about what he saw in Game 3.

“They got two great players and a bunch of JAGs – just guys. Just another guy – that’s what I call them. They’re just JAGs, just a guy. They’ve got two guys who are amazing, but if those guys don’t play great, the Lakers aren’t going to win,” Barkley said after Game 3.

What do you think about what he had to say?
