Kendrick Perkins has a high opinion on Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. His former teammate shared his thoughts right after LeBron’s team won the 2020 NBA title. The Los Angeles Lakers won the 17th title in team history thanks to the great chemistry between the players. Kendrick took notice of this and many fans would agree with his opinion.
According to Perkins, this is not LeBron’s last title with the Lakers. He appeared on the “Keyshawn, Jwill & Zubin” podcast and talked about the king’s future with the Lakers. How many titles will LeBron win with the Lakers?
“Two, at least,” Perkins answered. “We heard LeBron James last night say he got at least four or five good years left in him, and I believe him. … I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lakers land another star this offseason. Don’t be surprised if they pull off something and they have another young star come move into L.A. playing for the Lakers.”
Is Kendrick Perkins right about LeBron James?
In the regular season, LeBron averaged 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game. He boosted his numbers in the playoffs. He was averaging 27.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.
LA will definitely try to keep LeBron around for a while. Rob Pelinka will give LeBron everything he needs to win a few more titles. LeBron is 35 and age has nothing on him. Moreover, he can finish a few more seasons, winning titles and MVP awards.
The Lakers will first try to take care of Anthony Davis. The big man had an incredible performance with the Lakers and had an important role in the big win. Davis will hit the open market and LA has a good chance to keep him around. Well, he didn’t say much about his future team, and he is not 100% sure he will return to LA next season.
Maybe LA will try to get another superstar this offseason. They had a hard time getting Davis. Will the same happen again?
