Kobe Bryant posted a very humorous photo of a teen Anthony Davis one time. The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to bring their first NBA title back to LA for the first time in many years. This would be huge for the city that is still recovering from the loss of their legend Kobe Bryant. LeBron James recently talked about one regret that he had with Kobe Bryant.

“Of course, you think there’s going to be time for us to get together and I understand that there are regrets in life, but I definitely wish I had that moment with him,” James told Yahoo Sports. “I do remember when I decided to come here, he sent me a text right away and said, ‘Welcome, brother. Welcome to the family.’ That was a special moment because at the time, Laker faithful wasn’t [fully in on me]. A lot of people were saying, ‘Well, we might not want LeBron at this point in his career,’ and, ‘Is he right? Is he going to get us back [to the Finals]?’ So to hear from him and get his stamp of approval, it meant a lot. I don’t ever question myself, but when it’s coming from Kobe, it definitely meant a lot.”

Kobe was well known for being a fierce competitor. But he also liked to have some fun from time to time. AD recently told a funny story about Kobe.

Davis’ father, Anthony Davis Sr., talked to ESPN. Apparently, Bryant promised that he would keep a good watch over Davis during his time with USB basketball.

He said “When we first got there, Kobe came over to us and said, ‘Mr. Davis, I got your boy with me. I’m taking the young fella under my wing. He’s going everywhere I go this whole Olympics.’ And that’s what he did. Wherever Kobe went, Anthony went.”

Kobe had some tips for AD as well.

AD told people what Bryant told him.

“Kobe said, ‘When you play me, don’t expect to get calls. Even if you touch me a little bit, they’re gonna call a foul. So don’t touch me.’”

“The whole team always call me their ‘rook.’ Like LeBron says, ‘He’s my rook.’ And Deron says, ‘He’s my rook.’ Kobe: ‘He’s my rook.’ All of them take me under their wing so I learn a little bit from each and every one of them.”

There you have it.
