LeBron James Just Addressed When He Plans To Retire From Basketball

LeBron James has just addressed when he officially plans to retire from basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a NBA championship run. The Lakers were able to take down the Miami Head in 6 games. The NBA did look a bit different than usual this season. They were required to restart in a bubble format which was difficult. It was especially difficult for the teams who were there the longest.

The Lakers were one of those teams. LeBron James Recently talked about this,

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “And that was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.”

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

But now he has come out with some new words on when he will retire from the NBA.

He just won his 4th title and many are wondering how much longer he can go.

“I don’t know, I have not put a cap on it,” James said. “I know I got a lot of years left, and what that looks like, how many years that looks like, I’m not sure. I know I can continue to play at a high level.”

So, James clearly knows that he has a lot to bring to the table still. He also added this.

“A lot of it has to go into my family as well, having three kids, having a high school sophomore right now, a lot of that stuff plays a part. As far as the game — I know I can play the game for quite a while.”
