LeBron James Talks Heat’s Jae Crowder Spat During Game 1 of NBA Finals

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James got into a thing with Miami Heat’s Jae Crowder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in Orlando. What does the four-time NBA MVP say about this?

When asked about his history with Crowder, LeBron said competing against his former teammate is is no different from his other opponents.

“What’s it like going up against a guy like Jae Crowder, who you had playoff battles when he was in Boston, then you were teammates, and now here you are going against one another again with the Finals on the line and having some physical moments in Game 1?” a reporter asked.

LeBron’s response was pretty clear. He said, “It was like every other individual I went against in this playoff run.” This makes perfect sense to us.

Lakers LeBron James has nothing against Jae Crowder

LeBron and his former teammate got into a thing underneath the basket right before the end of the first half. It ended up with Crowder slapping the ball out of LeBron’s hands after a foul call.

These two exchanged a few words after this, but the situation didn’t develop any further. Lakers big man Anthony Davis got involved, and he was pretty “motivated” to defend his teammate.

LeBron has a dated history with Crowder. They went head-to-head when King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers played the Boston Celtics in the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals.

Crowder and LeBron played together at the start of the 2017-18 season, but the Cavs traded him to the Utah Jazz in a three-team deal. Swingman Rodney Hood went to Cleveland.

Things got pretty messy at that point. Crowder said LeBron was a stat-padder. According to LeBron, Crowder lacked the necessary work ethic to help the Cavs win games.

Well, we believe this won’t stop here. Crowder seems to be ready to “speak his mind” again. There’s something that bothers him so much. Is he still angry with LeBron?

LeBron and his Lakers teammates will try to take a 2-0 lead on Friday. Crowder and his Miami guys will try to even the series. Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo are listed as doubtful.
