NBA Admits to Critical Missed Call on Miami Heat at End of Game 5

The Los Angeles Lakers finished Game 5 of the NBA Finals with a loss to Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat. It was a tight game, and players performed under pressure. Superstars on both teams carried a heavy load on their backs. LA dropped Game 5 to the Heat 111-108. According to the NBA and its Last Two Minute report, there was a missed call that could have helped LA defeat the Heat. It was an important call in the closing minutes of the game.

The report notes that all of the foul calls at the end were correct. But, they do admit that there was a missed illegal defense call on Andre Iguodala. The call happened with 28 seconds left of the game. LA was trailing by one, and LeBron  could have easily helped the team move on with a win.

Has this been called, LA would have gotten a free throw. A free throw means a lot in the final moments of an important game.

Many fans will agree with the NBA on the missed call against Miami

This missed call hurts a lot. Unfortunately, this isn’t the only problem LA had at that point in the game. Danny Green connected with LeBron on a pass but missed his 3-pointer. Markieff Morris had an awful turnover in the final seconds.

Lakers players will try to rebound in Game 6 and finish the series with a win. The NBA has scheduled Game 6 on Sunday, and players are definitely ready to make up for the damage. LeBron will definitely teach his teammates a lesson, and they better hear his words. Green has made too many mistakes, and the king doesn’t feel comfortable with it.

Let’s hope that LA won’t repeat the same disaster in Game 6. The team is a win away from winning the 17th title. This would be LeBron’s fourth and Davis’s first title. There’s a lot in stake, and Lakers players can take any more risks. Sunday’s game is important for both teams. Miami makes things difficult for LA. Hopefully, LA won’t replicate the performance they had in Game 5.
