Patriots Injury Report: Five Players Questionable, New Defensive Tackle Out

The New England Patriots will be equipped with veteran experience for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team has removed running back James White from the injury report, and that’s more than great news for the Patriots nation. NFL analysts are not too worried about the Patriots injury report.

White will probably suit up for the game against the San Francisco 49ers. He practiced with the team Friday, but didn’t join his teammates Wednesday and Thursday due to non-injury related reasons.

Patriots may play with their veterans despite the injury report

The team listed Adam Butler as questionable due to his shoulder issue. Kyle Dugger is also questionable for Sunday’s game as he deals with his ankle problem. Veteran wide receiver Julian Edelman is a regular on the Patriots injury report. Shaq Mason is still there, and the same applies to Derek Rivers. Defensive tackle Carl Davis is ruled out for Sunday’s match as he suffered a concussion.

Here’s the Patriots Friday injury report

OUT
DT Carl Davis (concussion)

QUESTIONABLE
DT Adam Butler (shoulder)
S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
WR Julian Edelman (knee)
RG Shaq Mason (calf)
OLB Derek Rivers (back)

Butler, Dugger, Edelman, Mason, and Rivers saw limited action in Friday’s session. The Patriots signed Davis off of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad last week.

New England will meet the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. The Niners have ruled out four players for Sunday’s game, including Kwon Alexander and Raheem Mostert. They both deal with ankle issues. Jaguiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward are also on this list. San Francisco listed Trent Williams and Jeff Wilson Jr. as questionable for the game.

This is a rather important game for the Patriots as they will try to cut the losing streak and win hit more touchdowns. The team lost two straight games, and the offense was pretty bad in the game against Denver. Head coach Bill Belichick and his team will try to make up for the damage and maybe take a different approach. Some analysts have advised the head coach to sign a veteran wide receiver, and Antonio Brown is one of the options. Is New England ready to deal with the troubled wide receiver again?
