Patriots Reportedly Had 1 Complaint At Arrowhead Stadium

The New England Patriots had to travel to Kansas City for their game against the Chiefs. Patriots players arrived at Arrowhead stadium, and there was one major problem players complained about.

Veteran quarterback Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19 so the NFL moved the Week 4 contest from Sunday afternoon to Monday night. New England players had to fly to Kansas City the day before, but NFL protocols changed their plans. Players had to fly halfway across the country on the day of the game. New England had to face many other problems.

Pro Football Talk reported that Patriots players didn’t approve the visiting locker room their team had at the stadium. According to PFT, “the Patriots were relegated to that cramped space, which was estimated to be roughly 1,000 square feet.”

Patriots players were unhappy at Arrowhead Stadium

Social distancing was almost impossible in the tiny locker room.

“Arrowhead Stadium, for example, is one of the stadiums that has a small locker room for the visiting team. [Analyst Chris] Simms attested to the lack of elbow room during Thursday’s PFT Live, mentioning at one point the possibility of having a teammate’s “butt in your face” while changing…Per a league source, the Patriots asked for more space, and their request was declined.”

Cam Newton has coronavirus. Star cornerback Stephon Gilmore’s test results returned positive. New England placed defensive tackle Bill Murray on the reserve/COVID-19 list, too.

The organization has everything under control. The Denver Broncos are coming to Foxboro and players don’t have too much time to get ready for the game. New England had to shut down the facility ahead of Sunday’s match. Head coach Bill Belichick will have to adjust the winning formula for the game against the Broncos. Playing without Newton and Gilmore would be quite a challenge, but Belichick can handle this. COVID-19 is still here, and teams have to find a way to handle the situation without putting players in danger.
