Potential Targets For Lakers This Offseason Include Jordan Clarkson, Nerlens Noel and D.J. Augustin

The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA championship and they are already planning the upcoming season. LA had great roster this past season, and the game relied on veteran experience and incredible chemistry. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are leading the way. Rob Pelinka and the other members of the front office will try to strengthen the roster right on time. Lakers players will see bigger competition this year. The Golden State Warriors will have Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry on the floor. Kevin Durant is back in the game. In other words, LA will need all the talent it can get. There are a few potential targets for the Lakers this season.

LA may have a quiet offseason due to the cap issues. However, ESPN NBA front office insider Bobby Marks shared a list of potential players to join the Lakers with their $9.3 midlevel exception and $3.6 million bi-annual exeption.

“Some names to keep an eye on with the Lakers’ $9.3 million midlevel and $3.6 million bi-annual exceptions — including their own free agents Markieff Morris and Dwight Howard — are Jeff Teague, D.J. Augustin, Jordan Clarkson, Maurice Harkless and Nerlens Noel,” Marks wrote.

The potential targets may offer great skills for the Lakers

The Lakers will probably address their weakness in the backcourt.

Rajon Rondo, Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played really well in the playoffs. Well, Rondo and KCP will probably go somewhere else. According to most recent reports, both players will probably opt out of their player options for th eoffseason.

Teague, Augustin or Clarkson will offer another great option for the Lakers. Clarkson has the greatest offensive powers when compared to other players of this group. He averaged 15.2 points per game last season.

Harkless or Noel may offer enough depth to give Davis and LeBron breaks throughout the games in the upcoming season.

The only thing we can do is wait and see what happens next. It will be a wild offseason for many NBA teams. Keeping Davis on the roster is primary focus for every member of the Lakers family.
