Report: Patriots Swap One Receiver For Another On Practice Squad

The New England Patriots finished their Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos with an awful win. Although they had a good comeback in the fourth quarter, Patriots players struggled throughout the game. There were too many mistakes, and the offense struggled. Head coach Bill Belichick believes there’s plenty of room for improvement and success. It’s time for major changes, and New England has already made one. The Patriots decided to swap one wide receiver for another on the practice squad.

New England re-signed wide receiver Mason Kinsey to the practice squad and cut wideout Devin Ross.

Kinsey was great during his time at Division III Berry College. He was part of the Patriots practice squad for three weeks earlier in the regular season. New England signed him right after the Tennessee Titans released him in the final roster trimming.

Patriots swap receiver for the win

Ross was on the Patriots practice squad for the second half of the 2019 season. He was an early standout in Patriots training camp, but his performance changed by the end of the summer.

New England elevated practice squad receiver Isaiah Zuber to the active roster for the last three contests. He has fared well, and registered a first down on each of his first three football touches.

The Patriots are ready for great things despite their losing record at the moment. The team is 2-3 at this point, and some analysts have already written off the team. Belichick is here to prove everyone wrong.

The team has wideout Kristian Wilkerson on the practice unit. They have seen little from wideouts on the active roster. It’s time for everyone to elevate their game. Patriots veterans need to provide more in order to help the team win more games.

In the loss to Denver, Julian Edelman, N’Keal Harry and Damiere Byrd combined for five catches on 12 targets for 46 yards. It was an awful production and the unit needs to work more.

Coach Belichick is optimistic, and he is focused on keeping everyone safe and healthy. New England placed eight players on the COVID list in the past couple of weeks.
