Shaquille O’Neal Isn’t Letting NBA Players Have a Shot at Dating His Daughters

Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal sees an amazing future for his great daughters. The NBA icon wants them to have a good education and become independent. Oh yes, he also wants NBA players to stay away from them.

Earlier this month, Shaq was promoting his partnership with American Express. He used the occasion to share the perfect scenario for his girls. The NBA legend has three daughters, Taahirah, 24, Amirah, 18, and Me’arah, 14. O’Neal really wants them to become independent women.

Shaq’s daughters want his daughters to be able to do what they want. He will always be there for his cute girls, giving them enough freedom. Well, this doesn’t apply to the dating part. Shaq doesn’t want his girls to date NBA players.

“I want them to be fully educated or … fully independent,” Shaq said. “I want them to have most of those goals and once they get 18 on and they become little mini adults, I’m not going to be the dad that says, ‘Do this, do that.’ [I’ll] guide them in the right path.”

Shaquille O’Neal wants the best for his gorgeous daughters

Pretty much every dad would agree on this one. The 48-year-old would be pretty picky when it comes to his daughters’ boyfriends. Shaq spent 19 years in the NBA and split his time between six different teams. The NBA legend has played with a lot of players, and he know how they act on and off the basketball court.

Well, it doesn’t mean that basketball players have a bad rep. Shaq has built an incredible friendship with some of his former teammates. Maybe he has a special reason to make these comments. One thing stands for sure. The great Shaq will give his daughters the life they deserve, protecting them from NBA players. Just kidding. Maybe he will be really happy to see his daughter smile next to decent basketball stars. It’s just a dad thing.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will probably have the same problem in the future. Similar to Shaq, he wants the best for his little Zhuri.
