Stephon Gilmore’s Wife Responds To Cam Newton Dinner Report

Gabrielle Gilmore took to her Twitter to tell everyone that her husband didn’t have dinner with Patriots quarterback Cam Newton. The 2015 NFL MVP was the first Patriots player to rest positive. Gilmore’s test came a day after New England lost to Kansas City. Fans were worried about this, and some reports suggested that Gilmore’s dinner with Newton caused all the mess.

Gilmore tested positive last Tuesday. Newton’s test returned positive last Friday. Well, Gabrielle says there was no such dinner out, sharing a story from NESN.com.

“There was no dinner out, I’m going to help you out so you guys stop reporting false news,” Gabrielle tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “I’ve seen it circulating a couple times and now I’m annoyed.”

We can definitely understand that.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Gilmore’s dinner with Cam Newton

Adam Schefter from ESPN was the first to tie the coronavirus cases between Gilmore and the veteran quarterback. He talked about this on Philadelphia radio station 97.5 The Fanatic last week.

Someone informed Schefter that Newton and Gilmore had had dinner on Friday night. He got this information over the weekend. Gilmore’s positive test returned right away, and Schefter sort of expected it.

“If you’re at a dinner table with somebody who has the virus, there’s a chance, I would think, that you’re going to get the virus,” Schefter said.

New England has four positive players right now, and Schefter expressed his concern about the whole situation in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans deal with a bigger problem. It was an awful week. Even the NFL delayed some of the games.

Week 5 was bye for Patriots players. They are meeting the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The league will have to make some adjustments to prevent any greater damage. COVID-19 is real and the situation can easily get out of control.

Newton and Gilmore have key roles on the field. Head coach Bill Belichick will have to come up with a solution. Playing without them would be really hard. Young Patriots players need leaders. Patriots need Newton’s running game more than ever.
