Watch: Dwight Howard and Jimmy Butler Get Into Heated Exchange on Rebound Attempt

The Los Angeles Lakers are a win away from their title and things got pretty messy in Orlando. Players on both teams are well aware of the situation and everyone is playing under pressure. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are determined to win this championship and they have been receiving a lot of help from their teammates. It’s a serious game, and some players took it personally. Lakers veteran Dwight Howard got into a heated exchange with Miami star Jimmy Butler.

Things got out of control around the seven-minute mark in the first quarter of Game 5. Butler got entangled with Howard as they tried to secure a position for the rebound.

Refs blew the whistle as the two players refused to let go and pushed each other around the floor. Their teammates rushed to help and make things easier for both players. This exchange almost turned ugly, but luckily, everything went well for both Howard and Butler. Both players were separated shortly after the exchange.

This is the best way to describe the intensity of the series.

Lakers players do their best to win this title. Miami is here to make things difficult for them. Losing this game would shut down every bit of hope they have to win a championship. Butler and Tyler Herro wouldn’t allow it for anything in the world. They won’t let LeBron and his teammates get away with an easy win.

LA won the first two games of the series, but Butler surprised everyone with his triple-double in Game 3. Miami showed a completely different side and LA players couldn’t handle it.

Head coach Frank Vogel is optimistic about his players and things look really good for LA. Miami finished the first quarter with a lead, and LA will do the best to stop that. Miami can’t go too far with that lead.

This is an important game for players on both teams. LA is about to win the 17th title. Miami players wouldn’t let that happen.
