The Los Angeles Lakers defeated Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in six games. The king of basketball did it again, and he is now celebrating with his teammates. LeBron James not only won his fourth title but also won the NBA Finals MVP award.

Los Angeles was brilliant in Game 6, maintaining a double-digit lead in almost every minute of the game. King James has won MVP in every Finals win in his basketball career. He has four in 17 years. Heading up to Game 6, King James was -1000 to win the Finals MVP. He entered the game averaging 30.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in the finals. The four-time NBA champion finished the night with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists.

LeBron James wins the NBA Finals MVP award for a reason

LeBron deserves this award for leading Los Angeles to the top of the league. Davis was his only competition. However, he didn’t really do a lot in the past couple of games. LeBron had great nights and his triple-doubles aren’t something you ignore. He hit too many shots in Game 5, but it wasn’t enough for his team to win.

Today, we can easily say that LeBron has won titles with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers. He is second-place all-time with four NBA Finals MVPs. Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is on the top of this list. MJ has six titles and six Finals MVP awards. King James passed Shaq O’Neal, Tim Duncan, and Magic Johnson, who each won 3 NBA Finals MVP awards.

The Lakers superstar joined Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbas as LA players to win this award. LeBron won titles with three different franchises. Two other players have done the same. That’s all. He was the third player to achieve this.

It’s a big night for the Lakers team, and players have a good reason to celebrate with their loved ones. The NBA bubble served its purpose, and it’s time for everyone to go home.
