Rajon Rondo and Anthony Davis connect for the win

The former NBA champion is two wins away from becoming a two-time NBA champion. If the Lakers win these finals, Rondo will be part of a unique feat. The veteran will become the first player in league history to win rings with LA and Boston.

Rondo played with the 2008 Boston Celtics and had an important role on the roster. In an interview following the Game 1 win, Rondo talked about this and his chances to win.

“It’s funny. I’ve always said that, even last year when I signed with the Lakers. I said that from the jump. I wanted to look up the history and see if any player has done it. What better way to end the back end or part of my career is winning another championship, and to do it with one of the most, if not the most, storied franchise in history. And to have the opportunity to have both the two most winning franchises is definitely something I’m looking forward to. It’s a humbling feeling to be a part of something so great, and to be blessed to play this game for so long.”

The Lakers have a good chance to go home as champions. Players will need to maintain a steady pace in order to win this game. It’s hard and Miami players are well aware of the challenge. Keeping LeBron and Anthony Davis under control is really hard, and Heat players have no chance against the king of basketball. Davis is hungry for a win and he really wants to win his first title.
