Baltimore Ravens Have Positive COVID-19 Test Ahead of Game vs Patriots

The New England Patriots are playing the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but the situation doesn’t look good at all. The Ravens have a positive COVID-19 test. We all know what that means. The NFL will follow the situation.

Baltimore released a statement Thursday morning revealing that one of their players has tested positive. However, the player doesn’t have other high-risk contacts. The NFL will proceed with the game. This will change if the Ravens report another positive test. No other player on the Ravens roster or coaching staff is isolated at the moment.

COVID-19 spreads like wildfire, and the Patriots know it best. The team had an outbreak in October. They had a road game with the Kansas City Chiefs, and the NFL postponed their game with the Denver Broncos twice. There were too many positive tests at that point, and the team practiced twice in two weeks. What happened next? The Patriots lost four straight games.

Ravens to prevent another positive COVID-19 test

The Ravens didn’t reveal the name of their player, but fans will learn who it was when the Reserve/COVID-19 list comes out.

“We were informed this morning that a Ravens player has tested positive for COVID-19. He immediately began to self-quarantine and our organization is now in the NFL’s intensive protocol. There were no high-risk contacts, and no other player or staff member is required to isolate. We will continue to work closely with the NFL, our team doctors and trainers and will follow their guidance.”

Hopefully, the situation won’t get out of control. The New England Patriots won their match against the New York Jets. It marked the end of their losing streak. Cam Newton and his teammates will try to do the same and win their Week 10 game. It will be another tough game in the schedule. Bill Belichick will accept the challenge and lead his players to the top. Baltimore looks great at the moment, and players will play their best football against New England.

Belichick will rely on Newton’s run game. The 2015 NFL MVP will have to work on his passing game though.
