Cam Newton Has New Nickname for Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick

Patriots starting quarterback Cam Newton is busy winning games and coming up with a nickname for each of his teammates and coaches, including head coach Bill Belichick. New England had the perfect performance in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. It was the second straight win for the team. A perfect way to put an end to a terrible losing streak. It was about time for Newton and his teammates to regain full control over the game.

Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson couldn’t go through the Patriots defense. Damien Harris helped Newton lead a successful offensive attack. Of course, New England has to try really hard to get inside the playoff picture. A win over the Houston Texans will pave their way to the playoffs. Patriots players have a chance to make the 12th straight postseason appearance. A new record for Belichick and his team.

In his postgame press conference, Newton said that his head coach deserves all the credit. Oh, yes, he even came up with the perfect nickname. Most NFL fans would agree on this one.

“Listen, everything that coach (Belichick) coaches throughout the week, it tends to come up,” Newton said. “I’m beginning to think he either has a Staples easy button or a Buffalo Wild Wings button or just a straight, direct line to the football gods, because he’s like a football whisperer when it comes to anticipating what the game’s going to be like, how we need to win and things like that. I’m extremely impressed with that.”

The brilliant coach never misses a chance to praise his head coach for everything he has done for the team. Sunday’s game wasn’t the best game Newton had, but he was super brilliant. He had the highest quarterback rating of the season at 114.3, and completed 13 of his 17 passes for 118 yards. The veteran threw one touchdown pass, a nice seven-yarder to Rex Burkhead. He also caught a touchdown pass from wideout Jakobi Meyers on an efficient trick play. Newton ran for a touchdown and didn’t throw an interception.
