Cam Newton Sent a Confident Message to Anyone Doubting the New England Patriots

The New England Patriots really hope to finish the season with great success. The team has struggled on the field in the past few weeks. Many blame veteran quarterback Cam Newton for the failure, and now he delivered a big message.

Head coach Bill Belichick is confident about his starting quarterback. He won’t put another player under center, and that’s pretty much everything fans should know right now.

Newton helped the Patriots score in the first game against the Miami Dolphins. He played well in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. New England had a 2-1 record in the wimn against the Raiders. Was Newton the right fit for Josh McDaniels’ offense?

Well, things went down the hill. Newton struggled and he also tested positive for COVID-19.

Cam Newton has a message on his future

When asked about his future with the team, Newton said he thinks they can “win the next game.”

“Just the vibe that you get in that locker room is we just need one,” Newton said on WEEI. “Going back and knowing this team as well as I do know this team, coming off of that Raiders win, I think everybody had a full head of steam and momentum. Then obviously what happened with COVID and everything like that, it’s just been a slippery slope, walking down a slippery aisle trying to regain your footing. One thing I do know about this team is once we get that first one, that next one is almost, ‘OK, we remember how to win. OK, we know how this feels. This is where situational football kicks in, let’s do a better job of doing this, that and the third.”

Newton is confident that everyone on the roster is doing a great thing. These efforts will turn into  something great by the end of the season.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that guys are taking the proper steps of focusing on each and every day, each and every rep, each and every practice that will inevitably lead to in-game success for one particular game,” the quarterback continued. “We have a relatively young, but mature team that keeps everybody focused and in line with what the common goal is for that specific day and week.”
