Danny Green Reacts To Possibilities of Lakers Trading Him

Danny Green seems completely aware that the Lakers very well might decide to trade him. The Los Angeles Lakers are indeed coming off of a very impressive run through this season’s playoffs. It was very impressive to see how this team worked together to get to the Finals. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the team, this team could be a player in many Finals to come.

But can they keep AD for another season? We will have to wait and see. It was a hard year for all of the players in the NBA. But it was especially tough for those teams that stayed for the longest time in the NBA bubble. LeBron talked about this recently. Take a look at what he had to say?

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “That was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

Danny Green Reacts To Possibilities of Lakers Trading Him

There are now reports coming out on what the Lakers might try to do in the off season. One of those moves might involve trading Danny Green. He talked about this on a podcast recently. It sounds like he is well aware of this possibility.

“It’s been almost 10 years now me hearing about trade rumors,” Green said on his Inside the Green Room podcast. “You ignore the noise. If it happens, it happens. R.P. (Rob Pelinka) is a respectful guy. I’m sure he’ll give me a call. I understand the nature of the business. Everybody is going to get better. Everybody’s looking to make moves and get better, so we need to do that as well.

“Hopefully, part of that process is still keeping me here. I think we bring everybody back. We do what we did this year and hopefully not in a bubble.”

What do you think about what he said?
