Dennis Schroder Reveals Whether or Not he Will Start for Lakers This Upcoming Season

Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder shared his thoughts on the possibility to start games with the team in the 2020-21 season.

The newly-acquired player believes his agent talked to the Lakers front office before the trade. He believes that head coach Frank Vogel would add him to the starting lineup.

“I did this off the bench stuff two years with OKC. I think with AD and LeBron, I can be helpful as a starter.”

Dennis Schroder hopes to start games with the Lakers

Schroder spent seven years in the NBA family. He has started games for just two years. The Atlanta Hawks added him to the starting lineup in the years between 2016 and 2018.

Following the 2017-18 season, the 27-year-old went to Oklahoma City Thunder. According to his recent comments, he doesn’t like coming off the bench.

Despite his role with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Schroder was averaging 18.9 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game with the team.

These numbers will definitely be of great help for the team. Los Angeles hopes to make the postseason again this season. Truth is, the team has a chance to win back-to-back titles.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be leading the team. They will have great support from Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol, Wesley Matthews, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Markieff Morris and other players on the Lakers roster.

Gasol has great expectations for the season, and he sees himself as a good fit for the team.

LeBron is more than excited about his new teammates. This year’s roster is much stronger than the 2019-20 roster. But, last year’s roster won a title in Orlando. The new group will have a much better performance in the upcoming season. Well, LA will have the shortest offseason in team history, and players will hit the floor on Dec. 22. It’s too soon, but everyone worked really hard to get here. LeBron is working out like a beast and his teammates are ready to win again.

LA finished the season with a championship, and they can do it again. Playing inside a bubble was an easy job, and players can do the same and even more.
