Encouraging Injury Update Emerges For Patriots’ WR Julian Edelman

Head coach Bill Belichick was pretty optimistic about one of his veteran players. A terrible knee injury affected Julian Edelman and his performance on the field. The veteran wideout decided to undergo a knee procedure to fix his knee. Many thought that Edelman would not return for the season. Belichick believes that Edelman would be able to return at some point in the season.

The wideout had his knee procedure and his recovery goes pretty well. Edelman looks like someone who is ready to return to the field. Mike Reiss from ESPN provided an encouraging report on Edelman and his knee.

“Things can always change in an instant, but I heard some optimism from those close to receiver Julian Edelman with how his knee has responded since he underwent a precautionary standard knee procedure on Oct. 29. That optimism is a result of some recent on-field work, in which Edelman was apparently moving well, but the key will be how the knee responds as he continues to stack days together. The Patriots’ Nov. 22 game at Houston is the earliest Edelman would be eligible to play, and Wednesday — the team’s first practice of the week — would provide more clarity if that is even a realistic possibility.”

This may be a good sign and Patriots fans are already celebrating Edelman’s return. It may mean nothing, but it definitely indicates a positive development.

An injury won’t stop Julian Edelman

The veteran wideout had 21 catches for 315 yards in six games before landing on injured reserve. New England needs Edelman back on the field. NFL analysts are worried about the Patriots receiving unit. Edelman had a key role. If he doesn’t return, Belichick will have to give younger receivers a bigger load throughout the season.

Edelman has been dealing with this injury and he had to do something about it. He has reached a certain age and unaddressed health problems can easily develop into a serious condition. Edelman is taking good care of his body, and he won’t give up without a good fight. The Patriots have relied on his experience for a decade. His teammates need him back.
