Former Laker Mychal Thompson Delivers Message for New Lakers Signing

The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA championship, and everything points to the fact that players can win back-to-back titles. LeBron James is leading the way for the team, and he will be receiving a lot of help from his new teammates. Los Angeles is ironing the deal with big man Anthony Davis, and several other players have earned their spot in the Lakers locker room. Dennis Schroder, Marc Gasol, Wesley Matthews, Montrezl Harrell will play alongside LeBron. Klay Thompson’s dad, Mychal, is pretty excited about the new Lakers signing.

Wesley Matthews last played with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. His famous dad, Wesley Sr. won two titles in 1987 and 1988. Mychal and Wesley Sr. were teammates back in the days. Klay’s dad really hopes to see young Wesley follow his father’s footsteps.

Mychal played with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Wesley Sr. in his Lakers team. Young Wesley can be even more successful with his dad. He is playing with LeBron and Davis after all.

GM Rob Pelinka to approve a new Lakers signing

LeBron has been part of the NBA for almost two decades. Building a new dynasty is really hard for someone who is 30+. But, the kid from Akron is built differently and he has already built a strong team. The 2019-20 team was pretty dangerous, and the new team is even stronger. Davis is entering his prime, and LA has signed some of the most talented players in the league.

Many would agree that this year’s roster already looks better than the roster Frank Vogel worked with in Orlando. Imagine LeBron, Schroder, Gasol, Harrell, Wessley, Davis, KCP, and the rest of the guys on the roster. LA had the shortest offseason in team history, but GM Rob Pelinka did his magic. He provided the team with some strong assets and we can’t wait for the season to start.

The Lakers are considered favorites to win back-to-back titles. Magic Johnson approves the offseason moves Pelinka made, and the only thing we can do right now is wait for the season to start. The 2020-21 NBA season will start Dec. 22.
