Former Lakers Star Recalls the Most Frustrating Game Against LeBron James

Many NBA players have lost a frustrating game against Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. But, one particular player was pretty furious and his story is actually hilarious.

LeBron made a name for himself at the very same moment he entered the NBA. He has earned a spot in the GOAT debate and countless army of supporters. LeBron’s dominance has been pretty terrifying and NBA players have a hard time confronting him. I mean, you can’t just go against the king of basketball. Metta Sandiford Artest knows it best. He witnessed LeBron’s greatness at the very beginning of his career.

The Cleveland Cavaliers selected LeBron but he didn’t have much success in the first stint with the team. That’s why the king decided to join the Miami heat. LeBron played with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, and the Big 3 won two titles. The four-time NBA champion returned to Cleveland in 2014 and led the team to a title in 2016.

NBA star to remember the most frustrating game against LeBron James

Metta World Peace was one of the best defenders in the NBA back then. He remembers one of the games he had against LeBron. The retired basketball star went on Showtime Basketball to share some details.

“LeBron came into the league,” Metta started. “The first game in Indiana, I was so pissed. The first game in Indiana, he gave me 25. He went to the fans and said ‘this is your best defender.’ Right? I hear this. I’m furious.”

“I’m super pissed. He was disrespecting me and I want to walk up to him but he bust my ass,” said Metta. “That was like wow! This is crazy!”

It was crazy but Metta has nothing but respect for LeBron. King James won a ring in his 17th NBA season. He helped the Lakers win a title for the first time in a decade. It seems like LeBron’s primetime will never end.

Metta and many other athletes respect LeBron’s greatness and everything he has done on the floor. We have heard similar statements from many former and current NBA players.
