Isiah Thomas Explains Why LeBron James is The GOAT

NBA legend Isiah Thomas has shared his thoughts on the GOAT debate, and most basketball fans would agree with his pick. According to Thomas, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. It’s official. Thomas made a statement.

The Detroit Pistons icon made the same comments during his convo with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson on the Heavy live with Scoop B Show. Thomas shared the reasons he had to make these comments. The king of basketball is brilliant on and off the court, and the Hall of Famer respects that.

“So when you look at what the ‘GOAT’ means for us in terms of lifting us up in the society, speaking for the voiceless in our community; you can be a champion on the floor and you can be a champion off the floor. So what he’s done statistically – the numbers don’t lie. But also what he’s done OUTSIDE of the playing field, that doesn’t lie either. So you know, in terms of being a complete basketball player in terms of passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding… no one has done what he’s done statistically in EVERY single category. Now we’ve had players to dominate one category. But we’ve never had a player that’s come in and dominate it in so many statistical categories across the board. And that’s LeBron James.”

LeBron James will always be the GOAT

Thomas explained that Muhammad Ali, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and many others had a big impact on society and used their voice to make a change. LeBron has played a big role in the Black Lives Matter movement. His effort has impressed many people across the globe. The four-time NBA champion urged fans, athletes, and citizens of this country to use their right to vote in the US elections. These elections have a big role in the future of our country and LeBron knows that.

The king used his presence in Orlando to make a statement. He helped people understand that some of their neighbors, relatives, colleagues, and friends don’t enjoy the same privileges. Hopefully, someone will hear his voice.

Critics will probably use the opportunity to blast Thomas. According to them, Thomas supports LeBron in the GOAT debate just because he was Michael Jordan’s biggest rival in their playing time.
