Julian Edelman Proves Cam Newton Right With Awesome Reaction to Win Over Ravens

Veteran quarterback Cam Newton had a key role in the 23-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He had an excellent performance against the team. Baltimore dropped to 6-3 at the season and this was the most unexpected Patriots win ever. Most analysts underestimated the Patriots, giving them little chance to win. Well, Newton and his teammates defeated Lamar Jackson and the Ravens and it was a game full of surprises.

After the big win, Patriots wideout Julian Edelman delivered a big message for his teammate.

New England had a trick play in the second quarter of the match. Jakobi Meyers took a pass from Newton and then threw an amazing touchdown pass to Rex Burkhead in the end zone. Meyers used to be a quarterback back in the days and he provided the most brilliant play for the Patriots. Edelman was impressed and he praised his teammates.

Newton liked Meyers’ play and he used the chance to tease Edelman.

“Once a quarterback, always a quarterback,” Newton said of Meyers. “I’m sure Julian Edelman was somewhere smiling. But also nervous, if you know what I mean.”

We can all agree that Meyers looked like a top NFL quarterback on the field. He hit the key touchdown for the Patriots during the game.

Edelman took to his Instagram stories to celebrate the big win. He was really supportive of his teammates throughout the game and didn’t miss a chance to deliver his postgame message.

The veteran had a procedure to fix his knee and the Patriots placed him on injured reserve. The team hasn’t provided a timetable on Edelman’s return, but head coach Bill Belichick is confident about it. Some NFL analysts do believe that Edelman won’t return by the end of the season.

The Patriots will need Edelman on the field as his veteran experience plays a big role in the locker room. Edelman has been part of the team for quite some time, and he better come back and give his best on the football field.
