Lakers City Edition & Throwback Jerseys Leaked Ahead of 2020-21 Season

Los Angeles Lakers fans were pleasantly surprised these days. The brand new surprise is linked to some of the jerseys players will be wearing. LeBron James and his teammates are getting ready for the upcoming season, and Lakers fans got the chance to see the Lakers City and Throwback jerseys.

Nike took over the design of the NBA jerseys, and the Los Angeles Lakers were changing their City Edition each year through the Lore Series that’s created by a team icon. In the 2019-20 season, Shaquille O’Neal signed the City Edition. It had the early 2000’s shade of gold and the Most Dominant Ever mantra.

Lakers fans can’t wait to see the City Edition jerseys on the floor

In the 2020-21 season, the Lakers City Edition and Throwback uniforms will lead all the way to the Minneapolis and 1960s LA Lakers. LA fans will definitely enjoy watching their team win games while wearing blue uniforms.

The City Edition is something NBA fans have never seen before. The modern day text and design work really well with the blue and gray color scheme. Lakers throwback jerseys are actually mirror images of the jerseys Jerry West and his team wore in the 1960s. They come in full blue color and cursive “Los Angeles” in the front. Impressive!

Will the Lakers front office make these jerseys official prior to the beginning of the upcoming season? Fans have been asking questions about the secondary Staples Center court design.

Los Angeles didn’t change the court when players wore the “MPLS” throwback jerseys in the 2017-18 season. They have two blue jerseys now, and the front office may consider making some changes to the floor.

When it comes to the Icon gold, the Statement purple, and the Association white, LA will probably stay with the same scheme. NBA teams usually keep these three jerseys the same from season to season.

NBA players would love to start the 2020-21 season in January, and the league may announce a 50-game season to complete the Finals by July. Superstars are not really interested in going back to the floor in December. It’s too soon. LA Lakers and Miami Heat players played until mid-October, remember?
