Lakers Odds of Getting DeMar DeRozan This Season Revealed

The Los Angeles Lakers have shown interest in several players, including San Antonio Spurs superstar DeMar DeRozan. Recent reports have linked the Lakers to the veteran player and there’s another update on this story. NBA analysts believe that LA would go after a third big name, and DeRozan may be the right person to take that role.

According to one of the reports, Rob Pelinka and the team may trade Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma for DeRozan.

Bovada has the odds that DeRozan makes his way to Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old would definitely fit into the Lakers roster. LeBron James and Anthony Davis can definitely use a third big player in their effort to win the second straight title.

Lakers players to create a good connection with DeMar DeRozan

The Los Angeles Lakers may shake up their roster after winning the 2020 NBA title. Several players will probably go somewhere else. Testing free agency seems like a good option for Rajon Rondo and a few other veterans. This championship win sure adds value to their profile.  This ring would give players a chance to sign a better contract in case LA decides to trim their current salary.

DeRozan would improve the Lakers roster. He has all the talent, experience and skills to win a ring. Los Angeles struggled to find a third option. DeRozan has a nice scoring power, and the team needs that.

Getting DeRozan comes at the cost of Kuzma, but the Lakers don’t really think of the future now. They are trying to get the best of their two superstars. Kuzma didn’t play his best basketball this season. The young talent had his best game in the 2018-19 season. His value sort of dropped this past season. LeBron can easily play a few more seasons, and the Lakers would try to use that. That’s why they don’t focus on Kuzma’s development. Bringing a third superstar is their main focus at the moment. there’s still plenty of time to think of the future.

DeRozan was averaging 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game on 53.1 percent shooting from the field in the 2019-20 season.
