Los Angeles Lakers Interested in Ex-LeBron James Teammate

The Los Angeles Lakers are among those ‘Interested Suitors’ in an ex-LeBron James Teammate according to reports. The Lakers are NBA champions at least for this season. This season was difficult for everyone. With the death of Kobe Bryant and all of the other stuff, a Lakers title was exactly what we needed.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were very impressive together as a tandem. They were able to take care of business as much as they needed. But it was not easy. LeBron talked about how hard it was to deal with being in the bubble for so long.

“I am here for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to compete for a championship,” James said. “That was my mindset once I entered the bubble, once I entered the quarantine process the first two days. And then right from my first practice, my mindset was to, if I’m going to be here, make the most of it and see what you can do and lock in on what the main thing is. And the main thing was for us to finish the season and compete for a championship.

“So that’s just been my mindset throughout these — I don’t even know how many days it is, whatever how many days it is, it feels like five years so it really doesn’t matter. I’ve been as locked in as I’ve ever been in my career.”

But the Lakers are already looking towards next season. And now, according to Evan Dammarell of Forbes.com, the Lakers might have some interest in Tristian Thompson.

“Thompson does have interested suitors on the market – mainly the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Toronto Raptors, according to league sources,” Dammarell wrote. “But, those same sources also shared that Thompson would like to try and finish his career with the Cavaliers and continue helping the team’s young core develop.”

LeBron was close to Thompson in Cleveland.

This would be a good pick up for the Lakers given that they might be losing their big man this season. What do you think about what he wrote?
