NBA Hall of Famer Makes Huge Prediction on Lakers Upcoming Season

The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA championship, and they are on their way to win another one. Los Angeles has a real chance to win back-to-back titles and everyone knows that. LeBron James is leading the team, and he will play alongside some of the greatest basketball players ever. One Hall of Famer has made a prediction on the Lakers and their performance in the upcoming season.

LA has Marc Gasol, Wesley Matthews, Dennis Schroder, and Montrezl Harrell. The franchise also re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Markieff Morris.

Barkley makes prediction on LA Lakers and their season

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley praised Pelinka and the team for the offseason moves, and he also named LA as title favorites.

“Schroder is a great backup. I think he ran into trouble when he was starting in Atlanta, but you saw in Oklahoma City, he’s a great backup. They got Montrezl Harrell coming off the bench. Gasol to me is a really good pickup. Don’t forget Wes Matthews. But listen, all that stuff is irrelevant. You got LeBron and AD, you can get 5 guys off the street (for them) and they’ve got 5 guys who can really play. The Lakers are going to be the clear front runners for the championship.”

Los Angeles played against great teams last season. They had to finish the season inside the NBA bubble, but players didn’t mind any of it. The team had enough talent to handle the situation in Orlando and players returned home with a title.

LeBron and Anthony Davis became the best duo in the NBA. They didn’t need a third superstar on the roster to win the title. Bringing Harrell and Schroder in LA was one the best decisions LA has ever made.

The team may see some defensive struggles this season. Avery Bradley, Dwight Howard, and JaVale McGee are no longer part of the team. Davis will see a bigger workload this season. Gasol is here to give him a hand in the process. Los Angeles is getting ready for a challenging season, and head coach Frank Vogel is ready for every bit of it.
