Patrick Beverley Had Pissed-off Reaction at Montrezl Harrell Signing With Lakers

Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley will enter the 2020-21 NBA season without big man Montrezl Harrell. The latter decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers and he has agreed to sign a two-year deal with the team.

As you may be guessing, Beverley was far from happy with the change. He was pretty shocked by the news. Well, let’s just say this was an expected reaction from him. The Clippers are losing a talented player to their city rivals. Their disappointment is more than obvious.

Patrick Beverley, Clippers lose Montrezl Harrell after playoff fiasco

Harrell and his 2019-20 Clippers team were considered one of the favorites to win the title. They didn’t have too much luck in the playoffs and missed a big chance to become champions. Harrell was averaging 18.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game with the team. His great stats gave him the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka had a big mission this offseason. The front office planned to adjust the roster and increase the team’s chances to win back-to-back titles. They have already traded for Dennis Schroder from the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s an important offseason for the Lakers, and Pelinka is doing a really good job.

Harrell has the feistiness and edginess LA needs in the season. These features gave him a key role with the Clippers. He is staying in town. As a Laker.

The guard is the perfect addition to the Lakers roster. LeBron James’ team is much stronger now, and their city rivals have to find a way and survive the terrible loss.

Things don’t look too well for the Clippers. They spoiled a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs inside the NBA bubble. Kawhi Leonard and his team blew the lead, and Harrell decided to join LeBron. He has the right intensity, athleticism, and activity, and the king will definitely approve the new addition. The four-time NBA champion can definitely recognize greatness and he is more than excited to share the floor with Dennis Schroder and Harrell. Lakers fans can’t wait to see both players put on their new uniforms.
