Patriots’ Bill Belichick Reacts To Death Of Boston Celtics Legend
The death of a Boston Celtics legend shocked the entire nation. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was more than shocked. It was a painful loss for the world of sports, and Belichick released a statement.
Tommy Heinhson was an excellent player, coach and broadcaster for the Boston Celtics. The 86-year-old legend was an excellent person and his talent impressed many people across the globe.
In his two-decade tenure with the New England Patriots, coach B met Heinsohn personally. He was well aware of the power Heinsohn had on the region.
In his recent radio appearance, coach Belichick talked about the Boston Celtics legend.
“What a tremendous career he had as a player and coach, and as a broadcaster,” Belichick said. “He ended up bringing so many great Celtics moments to fans…He had such a great connection to the entire Boston community. Hensohn was an awesome guy.
“I did get to know Tommy, really through Linda; when Linda was working with Style Boston, she interviewed him, After that, I kind of got to spend some time with him and saw him at several Celtics games. … It was an honor and pleasure to get to know him. He’s a wonderful man.”

Heinsohn’s death triggered an avalanche of tributes. People from around the world of sports praised the legend, delivering messages of support for his family.
Former Celtics player Paul Pierce took to Twitter to honor the legend.
“Damn RIP Tommy Heinsohn!!! ‘The Little guy’ that’s the nickname he gave me. Will miss his voice and everything he brought to the game especially Celtics basketball,” Pierce tweeted.
Heinsohn won eight NBA titles. He won two rings as a coach. The legendary Heinsohn played for Boston from 1956-65 and coached the team from 1969-78. The world will never forget his contribution to the game.
