Patriots Reveal Damian Harris’ Status For Game vs Texans

The New England Patriots have a new feature back, and he looks really sharp on the field. Damien Harris was brilliant in the game against the Baltimore Ravens. NFL analysts predicted a bigger role for him. The sophomore running back has been dealing with chest and ankle injuries, and the team has provided an update on his status. Will Harris suit up for the Patriots vs Texans game?

Ian Rapoport from NFL Media reported that Harris will join his teammates at NRG Stadium. He cited a source close to the team.

Harris, Gilmore to suit up for the Patriots vs Texans game

Harris has done an incredible job in his increased role. He is definitely one of the best young running backs in the world of football. Harris stepped in as a replacement for Sony Michel in Week 4. The Patriots have activated Michel off of injured reserve in the week. However, he won’t suit up for the game against the Texans.

The 2019 third-round pick carried the ball 22 times for 121 yards in the 23-17 win over Baltimore. Harris will continue to head the Patriots’ backfield. Rex Burkhead and James White are also there.

Michel’s return to the field will affect Harris’ volume. Harris has run 52 times for 294 yards and a touchdown in the last three weeks.

New England listed 15 players as questionable. Stephon Gilmore is on the list too, but be looked more than ready to suit up for the game. The veteran cornerback missed three games due to the knee injury he suffered on Oct. 29. Gilmore has to return to the field as the Patriots really need his talent and veteran experience. The cornerback was out of the field, but he sure used his time to help his younger teammates adjust to the system. Let’s not forget that Gilmore has been part of the NFL for quite some time so he sure knows a thing or two.

New England has a real chance to win this game, and a win would bring them close to .500.
