Rajon Rondo Odds of Returning to Lakers Next Season Have Been Revealed

The Los Angeles Lakers will need their veterans back on the floor as they all had a big role on the floor this past season. Several players are expected to enter the open market and test the possibilities. Winning a ring sure adds value to their contracts. Rajon Rondo is one of these players, and now we have the odds of his return.

According to one betting site, Rondo will end up re-signing with the Lakers.

Rondo finished his second season with the Lakers. He was coming off the bench during his 48 regular-season games. The veteran was used as a bench player in the postseason.

Rajon Rondo odds of re-signing with the Lakers are real

The Lakers veteran was averaging 7.1 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game with the team this past season. His veteran and playoff experience helped the Lakers win the championship in Orlando. He did miss some time due to the thumb fracture he suffered in the very first days. Lakers players couldn’t wait for Rondo to return, and his absence affected their game.

Rondo decided to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. His player option was about to give him $2.69 million for the upcoming season.

Rondo has hit a certain age and he had modest contributions. This means that other NBA teams will give him the same money he would get with the Lakers. But, there’s still a chance for Rondo to play with another team. He got a ring and that sure adds value to his future contract.

The talented veteran may decide to stay with the Lakers because of the offseason. Most NBA teams will have the shortest offseason in league history. Lakers players went home mid-October, giving them just a couple of months to rest and relax.

NBA teams will return to the field on Dec. 22, and this leaves LA players little time to prepare for the upcoming season.
