Report: Kyle Kuzma Deactivates Twitter Account

Los Angeles Lakers young star Kyle Kuzma was pretty active on social media, and he was a popular figure on Twitter. Well, the 25-year-old doesn’t seem to be too interested in his social media life these days. How do we know that? He deactivated his Twitter account.

Kuzma plans to sign a contract extension with the Lakers this offseason. But, he didn’t play his best basketball this past season. The talented point guard was more efficient on the floor in 2018-19. He survived the trade avalanche last year. Will he survive this one?

Kyle Kuzma silenced Twitter

Seeing him deactivate his account makes us think of all the trade talks related to his next home. These trade talks are pretty loud these days. According to the most recent rumor, the Lakers were supposed to trade Kuzma to the New Orleans Pelicans for Jrue Holiday.  This deal didn’t happen, and the Lakers went after Dennis Schroder from the Oklahoma CityThunder.

Los Angeles may want to part ways with Kuzma. Well, he sure receives a lot of messages and mentions on Twitter. Deactivating his account seemed like the best option at the moment.

The fourth-year forward was averaging 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game with the Lakers this season. His performance saw a significant drop in the regular season. It all started with Anthony Davis’ signing last summer. We don’t really think that Davis will leave the team in the near future. Maybe Los Angeles doesn’t need Kuzma’s service anymore.

Kuzma may not join the Pelicans this offseason, but he has a really good chance of joining a different team this offseason. Will he ever step on the basketball floor as a Laker?

Los Angeles sent a lot of young players to New Orleans to get Davis. Is Kuzma the next to go? LA is in the middle of an important season. General manager Rob Pelinka will have to pull out the best offseason moves to help the Lakers defend their title. Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks. The Lakers won’t stop here.
