Report: NFL Rules On Jets Player’s Big Hit On QB Cam Newton

New York Jets safety Ashtyn Davis hit New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton in Monday’s game. The 2015 NFL MVP put his body on the line during the game and ended up with a sore neck. Newton has received some pretty horrible blows, and he doesn’t mind any of that.

Monday’s game gave him a sore neck, but the Patriots didn’t add him to this week’s injury report. In other words, Newton feels good enough to hit the field again on Sunday.

During his appearance on The Greg Hill Show, the Patriots quarterback shared details of his neck injury. He was dealing with a lot of pain after the hit he took in the second quarter of the game.

“My neck is only working at a degree angle that shuts off the degrees to one side,” Newton said. “My eye muscles are getting a lot of work in today. I told the guys on the sideline, ‘That’s my fault and I deserved it.’”

NFL makes a decision on Jets player who hit Cam Newton

NFL officials spotted the hit and penalized Davis for the hit. The NFL was about to make a decision. According to the most recent report, the NFL won’t fine Davis.

Davis wasn’t trying to hit Newton. He just wasn’t able to move his head out of the way when doing the tackle.

The Patriots will have Newton ready for the game against the Baltimore Ravens. He feels great at the moment and yes, he is ready to win another game. Newton wasn’t really sharp in the last few games, but he was brilliant in the 30-27 win over the Jets. Well, NFL analysts sort of ignored this success. Newton will have to win another game to convince everyone that he is back in shape.

New England doesn’t have a great chance to make the playoffs. Defeating the Ravens would be a game-changer. New England needs this win. It would take players in the right direction. Bill Belichick needs to see more of his players. They have lost too many games this season. It’s time for a change.
