Six Things Patriots Fans Should Be Thankful For This Thanksgiving

The New England Patriots had really great success in the past two decades. The team won nine AFC championships, six Super Bowls, and broke a lot of records. Pats fans have so much to be grateful for. But, something changed following Tom Brady’s departure. New England has a 4-6 record at this point of the season. Head coach Bill Belichick and his team defeated the 6-4 Baltimore Ravens but lost to the 3-7 Houston Texans. There’s still room for a good dose of optimism. Patriots fans still hope to see the team at the top of the AFC again, and there are some things everyone should be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Cam Newton improved

The starting quarterback had struggles from Weeks 3-7. He had to miss some time due to his struggle with COVID-19. PFF ranks Newton as 6th quarterback and 8th passer since Week 8. The 2015 NFL MVP hasn’t thrown an interception since October.

Patriots fans are thankful for Damien Harris this Thanksgiving

Harris is the top running back according to PFF’s rankings. He has to stay healthy in order to have a 1,000-yard season. Rex Burkhead won’t return to the field this season, and Harris is the perfect support for the team. Sony Michel will soon join the team and the Patriots will receive a lot of help from the running backs.

Mike Onwenu is versatile

New England spent the sixth-round selection on Onwenu. Belichick used him as a left guard, right guard, right tackle, and tight end. PFF ranks him as the 9th offensive lineman.

JC Jackson has insane skills

Jackson leads the league with six interceptions. He can let up big plays, but he had to compete with strong players. Jackson is a promising star with an excellent eye for the ball.

Jakobi Meyers impressed NFL analysts

Meyers is a versatile, savvy possession receiver. He has 31 catches for 391 yards for the last five weeks. Meyers can reach nearly 950 yards if he keeps playing the same football.

Jake Bailey is accurate player

The punter has had a successful performance this season. He has just one touchback and 15-of-27 punts inside the 20-yard line. Many would agree that he is one of the best punters in the league.
