Steph Curry Reveals How Lakers Duo of LeBron and AD Motivated Warriors

LeBron James and Anthony Davis taught Steph Curry a lesson and motivated the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers duo did wonders inside the Orlando bubble. The Los Angeles Lakers returned home with a title. This was the first title in a decade. The long championship win inspired Steph and he is ready to play his best basketball. Yes, awesome Curry is coming back stronger.

“L.A. played amazing,” the Warriors point guard told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “Like LeBron, A.D. (Anthony Davis), I was happy for them, obviously. When you know what it takes to win a championship, whether you’re in the fight or not, you appreciate that final moment when a team accomplishes their goal. And it’s almost inspiring and motivating for us to get back and look forward to this year. And then, obviously, you include just what it took to get the bubble off and what that sacrifice was being down there for however many days. I’m glad they got through the season. I’m glad it worked. And L.A. did what they had to do and got it done.”

Stephen Curry motivated Warriors teammates to work harder

The 32-year-old played just five games in 2019-20 due to a hand fracture. The Warriors made five straight NBA Finals appearances from 2015 to 2019. Curry and his team won three titles, and that’s not something you underestimate.

But, the Golden State doesn’t even look like a championship winning team. Kevin Durant left the team in free agency, and Klay Thompson suffered a terrible ACL injury during the 2019 NBA Finals. This year the Warriors had the league’s worst record. Los Angeles had the best record in the West in 2020.

COVID-19 pushed players inside a bubble and they had to finish the season under special circumstances. LA was a dominant force in Orlando and LeBron won his fourth ring. Davis won his first championship, and he is ready to go after another one.

Curry and his teammates will do their best to return to the big game. The Golden State will have to find a solution to their biggest problem as Thompson is out again.
