Watch: Nick Folk Drill 50-Yard, Game-Winning Field Goal Vs. Cardinals

The New England Patriots won their Week 12 game against the Arizona Cardinals. It was a beautiful game for the team and this win actually gives us hope. New England entered the game with a loss to the Houston Texans, and some experts wrote them off. But, it wasn’t the best decision, and New England seems to be regaining control. Kicker Nick Folk shocked the Cardinals with his field goal.

If the Patriots are to make a charge in the remaining games of the regular season in hopes of making the playoffs, they will have to repeat the formula that gave them control over the Cardinals. New England came out as a winner, and fans celebrate the 20-17 win of the team.

Nick Folk blasts Arizona with clean field goal

The defense went strong against Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray. He couldn’t beat the team with his legs. Patriots kickoff- and punt-return units had great plays. This was of great help for veteran quarterback Cam Newton. He led the offense with short fields and made things easier for everyone.

This takes us all the way to what head coach Bill Belichick refers to as “complementary football.”

Cardinals kicker Zane Gonzales missed a 45-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. Newton and his teammates took over at their 35-yard line and set up Folk’s 50-yard game-winning field goal as the clock was ticking.

New England improved to 5-6 with this win. They have three road games against the Chargers, Rams, and Dolphins. The team will finish the regular season with two home games against the Bills and Jets.

Things look really tricky right now, and the Patriots still have a chance to make the playoffs. Murray was playing with a shoulder injury and this gave the team an advantage during the game. They may not be that lucky in the next few games.

Some experts are optimists about the Patriots’ season. Newton completed 9-of-18 passes for 84 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He can do better than that. Folk has to repeat this. It’s time for a big change for the team and they are ready to take the lead.
