Patriots deal with too many injuries ahead of Week 16 game vs Bills

The Patriots added Andrews, Bentley, Bower, Calhoun, Cardona, Jennings and Simon to the most recent injury report. Andrews, Bentley and Simon left Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins due to injuries. Veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore suffered a partially torn quad and the team placed him on injured reserve three days later.

These injuries have a huge impact on the Patriots’ front seven. Chase Winovich, Josh Uche, and Terez Hall are the only healthy linebackers on the active roster. Deatrich Wise and Akeem Spence are the only D-linemen with great health condition at this point of the regular season.

New England saw too many struggles in 2020. The team struggled against the run as players allowed 186 rushing yards to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14. They allowed season-high 250 yards to the Miami Dolphins.

Harris and Moncrief didn’t suit up in Week 15.

Veteran wideout Julian Edelman didn’t show up for the media portion following Thursday’s practice. Defensive tackle Carl Davis was nowhere to be seen, too. Left tackle Isaiah Wynn is on the Patriots injured reserve and he has yet to have his first practice with the team. Too many injuries, too many struggles for head coach Bill Belichick and his 2020 team.
