Bill Belichick Drops Hint at Sweeping Changes for the Patriots in 2021

The New England Patriots will miss the playoffs this season. We all know what that means. Head coach Bill Belichick and his Patriots organization are expected to make a bunch of great changes in 2021. Truth is, New England really needs a change. Players struggles in 2020 and Belichick is not a survivor. He is a warrior. A winner.

The Patriots will miss the postseason for the first time since 2008. It was the same year Tom Brady suffered his season-ending injury. Belichick signed veteran quarterback Cam Newton to the roster and made him compete with Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer. The 2015 NFL MVP got the job but NFL experts couldn’t ignore his struggles.

Bill Belichick to coach a different Patriots team in 2021

Belichick won’t keep this roster in 2021. He will soon finish his terrible season. Keeping the same guys on the roster is in no way acceptable. Belichick has led the Patriots for two decades. He helped build a dynasty. The Patriots hit the rock bottom this season and it definitely stings a bit.

The Patriots head coach appeared on WEEI’s OMF and talked about the upcoming offseason and the 2021 season.

Finding the right quarterback will be a top priority for the team. The Patriots may also bring Cam Newton again and sign a rookie. They will probably use a 3rd or 4th rounder to select a quarterback.

New England may also sign a veteran quarterback to replace Newton. The veteran will have to work with the rookie signal-caller. This is just a theory.

The Patriots need to boost each and every unit of the roster, including their wide receivers. The tight unit squad needs a boost, too. Experts have predicted a few moves for the team, and one of the scenarios involve an inside linebacker.

Belichick has to address his offensive tackles and edge rushers. The team will have more than $50 million in cap space this offseason. They like Newton and everything he did on the football field. Is this enough to keep him around in 2021? The only thing we can do right now is sit back and wait to see what happens next.
