Good Sign For Patriots Fans Who Await Jimmy Garoppolo to Return

NFL experts made a few predictions regarding the New England Patriots and their starting quarterback. Many believe that veteran quarterback Cam Newton will leave the team, making room for another superstar. Some Patriots fans really hope to see Jimmy Garoppolo return to the field in New England.

Will head coach Bill Belichick make room for Garoppolo on his roster? We have two main reasons to think that way.

The San Francisco 49ers don’t really believe that Garoppolo will play again this season. The 49ers quarterback ended up on injured reserve in November after a terrible ankle sprain. San Francisco won’t make the playoffs this season and the regular season will end in two weeks. The 49ers may soon realize there is no reason for them to rush Garoppolo back on the field for two games. These two games won’t change a thing right now. San Francisco will have to get used to this development.

But, the situation may take a different turn.

Patriots fans would love to see Jimmy Garoppolo return to New England

The 49ers signed former first-round quarterback Josh Rosen off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice unit. Maybe this move doesn’t mean a thing. Maybe the team signed the player because one San Francisco quarterback tested positive for coronavirus and the other suffered an injury in Week 15. Well, this sure adds fuel to the fire. Patriots fans do believe that Garoppolo may be making his way to the team.

Rosen has had a good start to his professional career. The Arizona Cardinals selected him No.10 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. However, Arizona landed the No.1 pick Kyler Murray in 2019 and traded Rosen. He spent his second season with the Miami Dolphins but ended up being the odd man out after the team signed first-rounder Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The UCLA product is 23 and he may easily develop into a franchise quarterback. Will this happen in San Francisco? There’s a huge possibility and Rosen is now working with Kyle Shanahan. If the coach likes Rosen better, he may soon get rid of Garoppolo.

New England needs to address the quarterback situation in 2021.
