Patriots host Bills for Sunday’s game

The Patriots placed Thomas on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Mike Reiss from ESPN confirmed the information. Thomas hasn’t seen an offensive snap since Week 11. He sat out the last three games as a healthy scratch for the team.

When it comes to the Buffalo Bills, they ruled out tight end Reggie Gilliam due to his knee and hamstring injury. The AFC East champion listed safety Jaquan Johnson as questionable due to his ankle issue. Offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe is questionable for the upcoming game as he is dealing with a groin issue.

The New England Patriots may not try too hard to win this game. They are already out of the playoff contention. The team has serious struggles throughout the entire season. Veteran quarterback Cam Newton wasn’t the only one to be blamed for the disappointing season. His running game was great. NFL analysts acknowledge Newton’s qualities on the field. Maybe the Patriots took the wrong way. Newton won the 2015 NFL MVP award for a reason. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has nothing but words of praise for the talented player.

New England is expected to make a few changes this offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick will have to make a big decision and pick the right starting quarterback for the team. There are few voids to fill up, too.
