Veteran forward Jared Dudley is re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he couldn’t happier. Lakers fans are also excited of the chance to see him back on the basketball court.

Dudley didn’t really play for the 2019-20 championship-winning team. However, he was an important figure for the team. Dudley was an elder statesman and he really had a positive impact on the team. His presence was felt in the locker room and during practice.
When Dudley played on floor, he was one of the best 3-point shooters on the roster. He was hitting 42.9 percent of his attempts from downtown in the regular season. Dudley measures at 6 feet 7 and 238 pounds. He can also play defense against some of the stronger wing players in the NBA.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe, Dudley signed a one-year veterans minimum contract. The information was first shared by his agent, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports. Dudley is 35 and he will earn $2.6 million. He is in his 14th season in the NBA.
Dudley played 45 games for the Lakers last season. It was his first year with the team, and he was averaging 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds. He also saw action in nine playoff games in the deep postseason.
The veteran brings a 3-point percentage of 39.3% and 42 games of postseason experience to the team. Lakers players like him, and he was even organizing dinners and gatherings on the road. Let’s not forget that he was also a mentor to young Kyle Kuzma.
The Lakers have 13 players under contract for the upcoming season. Anthony Davis will take one of the final two spots once he inks his contract extension with the team. He is ironing the details of his deal with the team, and Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka will sure give him a good deal. LA will go even stronger this season, and they have tons of talent on the roster.
