Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young will keep playing his basketball, but this time he is joining the Chinese Basketball Association. This came like great news for his fans. The veteran agreed to sign a deal with the Zhejiang Lions in the CBA. Shams Charania from The Athletic was among the first to confirm the information.

The 35-year-old hasn’t been part of any NBA team since the 2018-19 season. Young last played with the Denver Nuggets. The veteran sharpshooter spent several seasons with the Lakers. Many would agree that Young had his best game in Los Angeles.

In the 2013-14 season, the veteran was averaging 17.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game with the team. He was looking for a home in the NBA, but decided to take his talents somewhere else.

Young even took to his Twitter account to “beg” to join the NBA. He watches a video of himself going against LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in 2013. The Miami Heat and Lakers went against each other on Christmas Day in 2013.

The Lakers were underdogs that season, but they kept up with Miami. Heat players had just won a title the season before. Young was in his debut season with the Lakers and led the team with 20 points on 4-of-7 shooting from downtown in the game. He outscored King James. The four-time NBA champion finished the night with 19 points.

Well, LeBron, Wade and Chris Bosh were too much for the Lakers. Miami celebrated a 101-95 win. Young moved on with his career in LA and had a good season. Now he will have to go somewhere else.

When it comes to the Lakers, they are on a good way to win another championship. Lakers players had a short offseason and this probably led to the big loss in the opening season. But, they have a 2-1 record at this point and NBA experts predict a great season for the team. Young will be winning games with another team well outside the NBA world.
