Lakers Made Decision on LeBron James’ Status For Game vs Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers have provided an update on LeBron James and his status for the upcoming game vs San Antonio Spurs.

According to the most recent reports, the Lakers listed LeBron as questionable for Wednesday’s game at the AT&T Center. The NBA’s injury report reveals that the four-time NBA champion is treating a left ankle sprain.  The Los Angeles Lakers lost the game to the Portland Trail Blazers and have a 2-2 record at this point of the season. LeBron has to stay healthy to make the deep postseason. Los Angeles is set to have a long season and Lakers players need to be ready for the pressure.

In the 115-107 loss to Portland, LeBron scored 29 points in 36 minutes on the basketball floor.

This game against the Spurs in San Antonio is the first of two games including one on Friday. However, NBA fans won’t be able to attend games due to the increased number of coronavirus cases in Bexar County.

LeBron, Lakers teammate may miss game vs Spurs

The Lakers listed LeBron as questionable, but Alex Caruso will miss the game against San Antonio. Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported that the rising star will miss his second straight game. LA players really missed Caruso’s skills in their game against the Trail Blazers. Caruso may join his teammates on Friday to boost the defense. LA has to find a solution for Dejounte Murray, DeMar DeRozan, and Patty Mills. We don’t really know if Caruso will return. His absence is linked to the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols. This doesn’t mean that Caruso tested positive for the virus.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was among the first to confirm that Caruso will miss the game. His absence has nothing to do with his wrist. According to Vogel, Caruso is out under the “health and safety protocols.” Vogel didn’t provide more details into the case. Caruso may have had close contact with someone else that got COVID-19.

Every other player and staff member is available for Monday’s game.

LA goes after another title, and players work on their chemistry on the floor. There are still some obstacles to overcome.
