Lakers Player’s Old Tweet Clowning LeBron James Is Going Viral

An old tweet of LeBron James emerged and it’s related to one of his current teammates. The four-time NBA champion really admires this player. Talen Horton-Tucker, everyone.

Young Talen didn’t even think he’d share the locker room with LeBron. That’s the only explanation we have for the tweet he wrote in January 2015.

Horton-Tucker was a freshman at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago. His simple Twitter joke caught the attention of every NBA fan, mostly because he and LeBron are teammates now. Horton-Tucker was a talented guy, but he didn’t even think that the king of basketball would work with him on the basketball court.

Talen Horton-Tucker wrote a hilarious tweet about LeBron James

Young Talen made headlines with the incredible performance he had in the preseason. He helped the Lakers defeat the Los Angeles Clippers and LeBron was not even playing. Anthony Davis sat out the game, too. Horton-Tucker led both teams in points, and seeing him perform at this level makes us think that Lakers head coach Frank Vogel would give him a bigger role in 2020-21.

Let’s go back to his joke on LeBron. Horton-Tucker joked about King James and the urban legend connecting LeBron’s mother Gloria and his former Cleveland Cavalier teammate Delonte West.

Well, things could get really nasty following a tweet of this kind. But, LeBron is not someone who takes things like this into consideration. Horton-Tucker was a kid back then. LeBron appreciates raw talent and he really likes new teammate. He even encouraged his agent, Rich Paul, to pay more attention to young Talen. This happened four years ago. LeBron was watching high school basketball, and Horton-Tucker caught his eye. So, no, LeBron won’t even look at this tweet. He is all-in when it comes to winning.

The Los Angeles Lakers will enter the upcoming season with the strongest roster. General manager Rob Pelinka provided a good depth by signing Marc Gasol, Montrezl Harrell, Denis Schroder and a few other players. LeBron has all the skills he needs to win his fifth ring, and AD is ready to go after his second one. LA looks really strong this season. It’s a warning to other NBA teams.
