LeBron James reveals status for Christmas Day vs. Mavs after suffering ankle injury

The Los Angeles Lakers lost their season opening game against the Clippers and LeBron James suffered an ankle injury. This sort of spoiled his ring night. NBA experts have made several theories about LeBron’s load management and his status for the upcoming game against the Dallas Mavericks. Will LeBron miss his Christmas Day game?

Of course not. He has never missed a Christmas Day game in his career and doesn’t even think of missing this one.

LeBron’s team suffered a big loss to their city rivals. They couldn’t overcome the deficit and LeBron rolled his ankle in his attempt to shut down a Serge Ibaka layup. It’s a minor injury and LeBron is ready to go against Luka Doncic and his team.

LeBron has never missed a Christmas Day game

The Lakers will have to play without their loyal fans in the stands. Staples Center will be empty. Players can’t really get used to the idea of playing in empty arenas. Playing a home game without any fans in attendance is horrible. However, NBA players will have to play their regular-season games until the situation improves. We are in the middle of a horrible pandemic and cheering crowds would only make things worse.

LeBron and his team entered the regular season with a loss. Paul George and his team built a 20-point lead in the first quarter. LA tried to overcome the deficit, but George scored 26 of his 33 points in the second half of the game. He didn’t need too much help to win the game.

It was a disappointing game, but Lakers players are actually using it as a motivation. It’s a long season and this loss doesn’t mean a thing. Players had two months to rest and prepare for the upcoming season. It was the shortest offseason in team history.

Lakers head coach is doing his best to keep everyone healthy and ready for the long season. A season-ending injury can easily spoil his plans. He will also have to consider creating the perfect load management plan for LeBron and Anthony Davis. Losing these two to an injury is not really an option right now.
