LeBron James Says He’s Changing Jersey Numbers In 2021

The Los Angeles Lakers will enter the upcoming season with both superstars on the roster. Anthony Davis signed his five-year contract extension with the team, and this deal will give him $190 million. LeBron James signed his two-year extension in order to stay in LA through 2023. But, the great LeBron decided to make a change, and he is actually changing jersey numbers.

In 2021. The four-time NBA champion will lose his legendary number. He has worn No. 23 for most of his career ever since his starting days with the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron wore No.6 during his time with the Miami Heat and won two rings with the same number.

King James returned to Cleveland in 2010, and he got back to No.23. Cleveland won the first title in team history and kept the same number upon his arrival in Los Angeles. There will be one major change coming his way though. LeBron will go back to No. 6 in the 2021-22 season and Davis will get his number.

We can’t wait to see the No. 6 LeBron hit the floor again. Many experts would agree that LeBron reached his prime in Miami. He is a dominant player and he was a real beast in Miami. There’s something about his No.6 jersey. This comeback may be of great help to the team.

The Los Angeles Lakers look pretty strong and they have King James leading the pack. LeBron and Davis will help the team win back-to-back titles, and they will share the court with several top names.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka went after some of the best players in the NBA. He signed Dennis Schroder, Marc Gasol, Montrezl Harrell, Wesley Matthews and a few others. Markieff Morris re-signed with the team and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope did the same. The Lakers brought Quinn Cook back to the roster, and LeBron couldn’t hide his excitement.

This LA team looks much better than any other team in the NBA. This squad looks stronger than the 2019-20 Lakers. They are already considered favorites to win the title in the upcoming season.
