Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant died 11 months ago. He lost his life in a tragic helicopter accident outside Los Angeles. Kobe was traveling with his daughter Gianna and seven other people, including the pilot. Current and former NBA players paid tribute to the Lakers legend. LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, Anthony Davis, and many others honored the Black Mamba. The memory of him will never fade away. Kobe’s wife and his daughter Natalia made an emotional gesture and left us with teary eyes. Vanessa and her baby girl honored the Kobe jersey retirement ceremony on Instagram.

It was an emotional ceremony. Kobe had two jersey numbers in his career. He wore 8 and 24. The Lakers retired these jerseys that amazing night at Staples Center.

The Black Mamba spent his career in Los Angeles. He gave LA fans a lot of great memories. Kobe was  a big figure in the world of basketball. He was a true mentor and an amazing person. We can’t get used to the idea of attending games without the legend.

We all remember Kobe’s 81-point game in 2006. He outscored the Dallas Mavericks in three quarters. What about his 60-point finale in April of 2016? Kobe was brilliant and he left the NBA in style.

Lakers fans will always honor the basketball legend. They are more than grateful for the championships he won with the storied franchise. Kobe won five rings in his career. He elevated the Lakers, giving them a championship reputation.

This Lakers team will enter the new season on Dec. 22. LeBron, AD and the rest of the guys will lead the team to another title. LA won the championship in Orlando, putting an end to the long drought. LeBron helped the Lakers win the 17th title in team history. NBA experts predict another amazing season for the Lakers, and the best has yet to come. LeBron and his teammates won’t miss the chance to win more rings. That’s why he signed with the team. It will be the perfect tribute to the Black Mamba and his legacy.
