Michael Irvin Has Blunt Message For Patriots Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots didn’t have much luck with their recent picks. There’s something about second-year wide receiver N’Keal Harry that makes NFL experts come up with crazy ideas. Well, former wide receiver Michael Irvin has something to say about the Patriots wide receiver. He wouldn’t give up on the talented player right now. According to Irvin, the Arizona State product has so much to offer.

In his two years with the Patriots, Harry has stacked 38 receptions for 333 yards and four touchdowns. These numbers don’t really mean a thing, especially if you take into consideration the fact that Harry was selected before Terry McLaurin, DK Metcalf, Deebo Samuel and other talented prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Irvin went on WEEI’s “Dale and Keefe” to discuss the receiver’s future in the NFL. If you ask him, he will say that Harry has to change his mentality.

The NFL star invited the young receiver to work out with him in the offseason so “he can build a killer instinct.”

“I’ll put this invitation out to N’Keal,” Irving said. “I guarantee you I will turn his whole mentality. The first week, we will run routes every day … well, first, we will train. We’re going to run, do strength and conditioning tests, and then we’re going to run routes. We’re not running routes fresh. Anybody can catch passes fresh. Nobody wins fresh. I want you to be dead ass tired, now let’s go run routes. I’m going to change his mentality from ‘I wanna get around these guys and not make them touch me’ to ‘Imma run right through his ass. I’m a big dude.’ I will absolutely turn N’Keal Harry, I guarantee it.”

The 22-year-old has yet to make an impact. Harry can grow into a big star. His career didn’t have the best start, but Irvin can definitely assist his development.

Harry is a dynamic player, and NFL scouts first saw him at Arizona State. He was brilliant back then. Harry finished his three-year career with 213 receptions for 2,889 yards and 23 touchdowns.
